Coconut Rice
Ingredients
- Jasmine Rice 2 cups
- Water 10 fl oz
- Sugar 1 teaspoon
- Coconut Milk 15 fl oz
- Salt ½ teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Rinse the rice in plenty of water until the water runs clear. Drain in a colander and shake off excess water.
Step 2
In a large saucepan, combine water and coconut milk, add salt and sugar. Stir in the rice, mix well, and bring to a boil over medium heat. Cook uncovered for 10–15 minutes, until the liquid level drops below the rice level.
Step 3
Tightly cover with a lid (it is recommended to wrap the lid seam with foil), reduce heat to low, and cook for 15 minutes.
Step 4
Remove from heat, let sit for 5 minutes, and serve.
