Ingredients
- Beans 20 oz
- Walnuts 5 oz
- Onion 1 piece
- Cilantro 1 bunch
- Leek 5 oz
- Celery stalk 1 piece
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Bay leaf 3 pieces
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Soak the beans in cold water for 12 hours in advance.
Step 2
After that, change the water and bring the beans to a boil over high heat. Cook until the beans are completely soft, occasionally adding water if necessary. Add the chopped celery to the cooked beans. Reduce the heat.
Step 3
Dice the onion and add it to the pot.
Step 4
Chop the leek, cilantro, and garlic, and add them all to the pot. Also, add a few bay leaves.
Step 5
Chop the walnuts or blend them in a blender. Add them 10–15 minutes before the beans are fully cooked (they should be well cooked). Season with salt to taste. Serve hot. You can puree it a little before serving.
