Ingredients

  • Pork Blood 20 oz
  • Chicken Egg 2 pieces
  • Wheat Flour 3 tablespoons
  • Onion 1 head
  • Vegetable Oil ½ cup
  • Minced garlic 3 cloves
  • Apple Cider Vinegar 1 tablespoon
  • Chicken Broth ½ cup
  • Sugar 2 tablespoons
  • Ocean salt to taste
  • Ground ancho chili pepper 1 piece
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Soy Sauce 2 tablespoons
  • Red Long Chili Peppers a pinch
  • Lime Juice 1 tablespoon

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Cut the pork into pieces about 1 mm thick and 3–5 cm long. Set aside, and in the meantime, make the batter from flour, water, eggs, salt, and pepper. Knead a not too runny dough. Heat ½ cup of vegetable oil in a skillet. Dip the pieces of meat in the batter and quickly fry (for about 3–5 minutes) in the hot oil until golden brown. Do not overcrowd the fryer with too much meat at once. Place the fried pieces of pork on a sieve or paper towel to drain.

Step 2

To prepare the sweet and sour sauce, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a skillet, add the minced garlic, chopped onion, and lightly fry (for 2–3 minutes), then pour in ½ cup of broth (or hot water), add 1 tablespoon of vinegar, 2 tablespoons of sugar, ground red pepper, chopped chili pepper, lime juice, and 2 tablespoons of soy sauce.

Step 3

Bring the sweet and sour sauce to a boil for 1 minute and add the prepared pork. Keep it on high heat for 2 minutes to let the meat absorb the sauce. Serve the meat on a plate with rice or noodles.
