Chinese Egg Fried Rice
Ingredients
- Long-Grain Rice 5 oz
- Chicken Egg 3 pieces
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Scallions 5 pieces
- Vegetable Oil 2 spoons
- Green Peas 5 oz
- Soy Sauce 1 tablespoon
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Boil the rice for about 10–12 minutes, until it's almost cooked but not fully soft. Drain and rinse under cold water, then drain again.
Step 2
Pour the eggs into a pot, whisk them lightly, place over low heat, and gently warm while stirring until they start to set slightly.
Step 3
Heat oil in a large wok. Add crushed garlic, finely chopped onion, and cooked peas, and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes. Add the rice to the wok and mix well. Add eggs, light soy sauce, and a pinch of salt, stirring to combine. Serve on plates, garnished with chopped green onions.
