Description

Chinese Caramel Chicken

Ingredients

  • Chicken fillet 20 oz
  • Soy Sauce 4 spoons
  • Sugar 4 spoons
  • Garlic 3 cloves
  • Olive Oil 3 spoons
  • Sweet Pepper 1 piece

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Cut the chicken into small pieces, about 1.5-2 cm. Finely chop the garlic. Slice the bell pepper into thin strips.

Step 2

Heat the frying pan with olive oil until it's hot. The heat under the pan should be high, and it should not be reduced until the cooking is complete.

Step 3

Pour the sugar into a skillet and stir it until it begins to melt and turn into caramel. Once the sugar has melted, add the garlic, quickly stir, and then pour in the soy sauce.

Step 4

Stir quickly once more and add the chicken. Now, stir the chicken until the caramel thickens and becomes sticky, and the chicken takes on a beautiful golden color.

Step 5

Don't forget to stir constantly to prevent the caramel from burning. Burnt caramel will taste bitter.

Step 6

After removing the chicken, add the bell pepper to the same skillet and sauté over high heat, stirring for 4 minutes. Enjoy your meal!
