
Chili Con Carne with Cocoa

Ingredients
- Beef 25 oz
- Olive Oil 3 spoons
- Onion 1 head
- Garlic 3 cloves
- Mild Chili Spice 1 piece
- Red Long Chili Peppers 2 spoons
- Wheat Flour 1 tablespoon
- Chicken Broth 10 fl oz
- Baking Tomatoes 30 oz
- Tomato Puree 3 spoons
- Mild Chili Spice 1 piece
- Canned Baby Beets 15 oz
- Cocoa Powder 1 tablespoon
- Lime 1 piece
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Chop the meat in a food processor until it becomes ground. In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of oil and brown the meat, then transfer it to a pot.
Step 2
Finely chop the onion and sauté it in the remaining oil until soft, then add the crushed garlic and chopped chili. Add the beef to the onion mixture and cook over medium heat.
Step 3
Add ground chili and flour, mix well, then add the broth, chopped tomatoes, and tomato puree. Season to taste, bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for an hour, stirring occasionally.
Step 4
Add cocoa and chopped peppers, and cook for another 30 minutes. In the last 15 minutes, add the beans and lime juice. Before serving, you can season with chili and coriander to taste.
