Description

Chicken with Red Peppers in Wine Sauce

Ingredients

  • Butter 2 tablespoons
  • Olive Oil 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Orange Bell Peppers 2 pieces
  • Skin-On Chicken Breasts 4 pieces
  • Wheat Flour to taste
  • Chicken Broth 1 cup
  • Dry White Wine ¼ cup
  • Chopped Sage Leaves 2 tablespoons

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Heat the butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced peppers and minced garlic and sauté until the peppers are soft, about 10 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the peppers to a bowl.

Step 2

Season the chicken with salt and pepper, lightly coat in flour. Place in the skillet and fry until golden brown, about 3 minutes on each side. Transfer to a plate.

Step 3

Return the peppers to the skillet and add the broth and wine. Increase the heat and cook until the sauce slightly thickens, about 5 minutes.

Step 4

Return the chicken to the skillet, stir, and simmer until the chicken is cooked through, about another 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and serve on plates. Sprinkle with parsley on top.
