Ingredients
- Skin-On Chicken Breasts 1 piece
- Rice 1 cup
- Pumpkin 15 oz
- Onion 1 head
- Carrot 1 piece
- Water 3 cups
- Grated Ginger Root 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric a pinch
- Ground Black Pepper a pinch
- Vegetable Oil 4 tablespoons
- Salt a pinch
- Toasted Cumin Seeds a pinch
- Lemon ½ piece
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the chicken breast into small strips. Squeeze the lemon juice, grate the ginger, and add it to the meat along with the pepper and turmeric mixture, mix well and let it sit for about 15-20 minutes. During this time, you can peel the carrot, onion, and pumpkin.
Step 2
In a pot, pour in the oil, heat it to maximum, add the meat, and frequently stir in the coarsely chopped vegetables (carrot, onion, pumpkin).
Step 3
Rinse the cup of rice and let it fry for a while with the vegetables and meat. Add a little salt and three times more water than the volume of rice, or double if you want drier rice.
Step 4
Cover with a lid, set the temperature to minimum, and let it cook for about 40 minutes.
