Chicken with leeks and morels
Ingredients
- Chicken Drumstick 4 pieces
- Morels 5 oz
- Leek 4 stalks
- Dry White Wine 5 fl oz
- Olive Oil 1 tablespoon
- Chicken Broth 10 fl oz
- Thyme 1 tablespoon
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Season the chicken legs with salt and pepper, heat oil in a cast-iron skillet, and fry the chicken until golden brown, about six minutes on each side.
Step 2
Remove the chicken legs from the skillet, pour in the wine, bring it to a boil, add the sliced leeks, chopped thyme, morel mushrooms, pour in the chicken broth, and finally return the chicken to the skillet.
Step 3
When the liquid in the pan starts to boil, reduce the heat and cook the chicken covered. After twenty minutes, flip the chicken and let it cook for another twenty minutes.
Step 4
At the same time as the chicken, the sauce will be ready—season it with salt and pepper, pour it over the chicken, and serve it with boiled rice.
