
Chicken with Dried Fruits and Saffron

Ingredients
- Chicken fillet 2 pieces
- Saffron ½ teaspoon
- Water 5 fl oz
- Onion ½ piece
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Dried Apricots 0 oz
- Olive Oil 2 teaspoons
- Meyer Lemon Juice 3 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Chop the onion and cut the chicken. Mix the saffron with water and lemon juice.
Step 2
Rub the chicken with pepper and salt. You can also add cinnamon.
Step 3
Place a pot on the stove. Add oil and half of the onion. Then add the chicken and the remaining onion. Pour in the saffron water. Stir, cover with a lid, and let it sit for 30 minutes.
Step 4
Preheat the oven to 100–250°F. Stir again; if the liquid has evaporated, you can add a little boiled water. Cut the dried apricots in half, cover with a lid, and place in the oven for 1 hour.
