
Chicken Thighs with Apple-Garlic Puree

Description
You can take the chicken with you on a picnic. Prepare it before leaving, wrap it in several layers of foil to keep it warm. Or make the apple-garlic puree at home, and grill the chicken.
Ingredients
- Apple 25 oz
- Chopped Sage Leaves 0 oz
- Ground Cinnamon ¼ teaspoon
- Ground Nutmeg a pinch
- Garlic 4 cloves
- Salt ½ teaspoon
- Chicken Thighs 8 pieces
- Ground Black Pepper ¼ teaspoon
- Chopped Sage Leaves to taste
- Vegetable Oil to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 480°F.
Step 2
In a bowl, mix the peeled and diced apples, finely chopped sage, cinnamon, nutmeg, minced garlic, and 0.25 teaspoon of salt. Mix well and place in a greased baking dish.
Step 3
Sprinkle the chicken thighs with the remaining salt and pepper and place them on top of the apples. Bake for about 25 minutes until the chicken is cooked and the apples are soft. Transfer the chicken to a plate and keep warm.
Step 4
Lightly mash the apples with a potato masher.
Step 5
Serve the chicken with apple-garlic puree, sprinkled with parsley.
