Chicken Tagine
Ingredients
- Onion 1 head
- Vegetable Oil 2 tablespoons
- Chicken Thighs 12 pieces
- Garlic 4 cloves
- Salad Potatoes 2 pieces
- Ginger 1 teaspoon
- Cinnamon 3 teaspoons
- Oranges 1 piece
- Saffron a pinch
- Mild Chili Spice a pinch
- Cilantro to taste
- Chicken Broth 25 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Heat a tablespoon of oil in a large skillet, sauté the chicken for 4 minutes on each side, and remove from the skillet.
Step 2
In the remaining oil, sauté the onion, garlic, and ginger. Return the chicken to the skillet, add the potatoes, orange zest, juice, spices, and broth. Season, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
Step 3
Taste the sauce and add a spoonful of water if it is too concentrated, or simmer longer if it is too thin. Serve garnished with cilantro leaves.
