Chicken Pieces with Ginger and Soy Sauce
Ingredients
- Vegetable Oil 2 tablespoons
- Grated Ginger Root 1 piece
- Chicken fillet 25 oz
- Onion 1 head
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Soy Sauce ¼ cup
- Vinegar essence 2 tablespoons
- Sugar 2 tablespoons
- Chopped Green Onions ½ cup
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Slice the ginger root into thin strips to make 0.5 cup. Transfer to a bowl and cover with cold water. Let sit for 10 minutes, then drain.
Step 2
Heat the oil in a pan over high heat and sauté the chicken cut into small pieces in batches for 8–10 minutes. Transfer to a plate.
Step 3
In the same pan, sauté the thinly sliced onion, ginger, and minced garlic for 8–10 minutes until golden brown. Add the soy sauce, vinegar, and sugar, and cook over high heat for another 3–4 minutes.
Step 4
Add the chicken and sauté for a little longer. Sprinkle with green onion and serve.
