Chicken Pie with Onions and Bell Peppers
Ingredients
- Orange Bell Peppers 2 pieces
- Skin-On Chicken Breasts 30 oz
- Leek 1 stalk
- Egg white 2 pieces
- Cream 22% 5 tablespoons
- Puff Pastry 20 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Boil the chicken breasts, cool them down, and chop finely.
Step 2
Chop the bell pepper and leek and sauté them in a pan for about 5–7 minutes.
Step 3
Mix the chicken, sautéed pepper with onion, 2 eggs, and cream. Stir everything well and add spices to taste — the filling is ready.
Step 4
Take the frozen pastry (in a package of 2 square sheets). Roll out both sheets.
Step 5
Line a baking dish with one sheet, then add the filling, place the second sheet of pastry on top, and seal the edges tightly. You can make small holes with a fork to allow excess steam to escape while baking.
Step 6
Bake the pie in a preheated oven at 390°F for about 45 minutes (until golden brown).
