Description

Chicken pastrami is a wonderful alternative to chemically processed store-bought meat products and makes a fantastic snack. Moreover, it is quite easy to prepare.

Ingredients

  • Milk 10 fl oz
  • Skin-On Chicken Breasts 1 piece
  • Salt 3 teaspoons
  • Olive Oil 1 tablespoon
  • Soy Sauce 1 tablespoon
  • Honey 1 teaspoon
  • Nutmeg ¼ teaspoon
  • Paprika ½ teaspoon
  • Lime Juice 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic 3 cloves

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Wash the chicken breast and place it in a container. Pour the milk mixed well with salt over the chicken breast. Leave it in the milk for 2 hours.

Step 2

After two hours, remove the chicken breast from the milk, dry it with paper towels, and tightly wrap it with kitchen twine. Prepare the marinade. In a separate container, mix olive oil, honey, soy sauce, lime juice, nutmeg, sweet paprika, and garlic pressed through a garlic press. Generously coat the chicken fillet with the marinade and let it marinate for 10-15 minutes.

Step 3

Next, place the chicken breast in a baking dish or on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and send it to the oven preheated to 430°F (428 degrees Fahrenheit) for 20 minutes. Turn off the oven and leave the chicken pastrami inside for another 20 minutes. Remove the pastrami, let it cool. Remove the twine. Slice into small pieces. The chicken pastrami turns out tender, juicy, and aromatic.
