Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare the chicken meatballs. Mix the ground chicken with bread soaked in milk, sautéed onions, an egg, and grated cheese. Knead the mixture well with your hands, then season with salt and pepper to taste. Let the prepared mixture rest in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.
Step 2
Prepare mashed potatoes using any method you prefer.
Step 3
Prepare the salsa. Sauté the finely chopped herbs and spices, then add the crushed tomatoes. Simmer until it reaches a smooth sauce consistency.
Step 4
Shape the chilled minced meat into balls. Just before serving, drop the balls into boiling oil for 2 minutes to brown them. Then, transfer the meatballs to a saucepan with sauce and simmer for 3–4 minutes.
Step 5
When serving, place the mashed potatoes on a plate, top with the meatballs and tomato sauce. Grate some cheese on top.
