Chicken Julienne
Main Dishes • French
Description
Chicken broth can be replaced with milk, and boiled chicken fillet can be substituted with sautéed, slightly undercooked pieces of chicken in butter.
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 1 tablespoon
- Chicken fillet 15 oz
- Chicken Broth 1 glass
- Butter 2 spoons
- Cheese Spread 5 oz
- Sour Cream 1 can
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Boil the chicken breast and cut it into thin strips.
Step 2
Sift the flour and lightly toast it in a skillet. Then, in the same heated skillet with the flour, add the butter and, stirring constantly, cook the mixture over the heat for a few minutes. When the flour turns golden in color, slowly pour in the hot chicken broth. Continuously stirring, bring the mixture to a boil.
Step 3
Pour sour cream into the same skillet, stir, and bring to a boil.
Step 4
Place the chopped chicken meat into individual serving dishes, pour over the sour cream sauce, and sprinkle with grated cheese. Then drizzle melted butter on top and place the dishes in the oven. Bake the julienne at a temperature of about 355°F for 20–30 minutes. The dish can be served hot or cold.
