Chicken in Walnut Sauce

Ingredients

  • Poultry 5 lbs
  • Onion 2 heads
  • Walnuts 5 oz
  • Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz
  • Khmeli-suneli 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika 1 teaspoon
  • Cardamom 0.5 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Cilantro 1 bunch
  • Garlic 3 cloves
  • Boiling water 0 qt

Prepare the ingredients.

Cut the chicken into medium-sized pieces.

Pour boiling water over the chicken and cook for 40 minutes (if the chicken is homemade, then for 1 hour). The cooked meat should easily come off the bone.

Chop the walnuts in a blender.

Finely chop the onion and fry until golden brown.

Add the chopped walnuts to the onion.

Add the spices.

Sauté the walnut mixture over medium heat, stirring, for 3–5 minutes.

Pour 3–4 ladles of the broth in which the chicken was cooked into the pan. Simmer for 5–7 minutes.

Separate the chicken meat from the skin and bones and tear it into small pieces by hand.
