Chicken in Spicy Sauce
Ingredients
- Chicken Drumstick 30 oz
- Spanish onions 1 head
- Garlic 4 cloves
- Orange Bell Peppers 1 piece
- Worcestershire Sauce 3 spoons
- Chicken Broth 10 fl oz
- Freshly squeezed orange juice 0 fl oz
- Vegetable Oil 2 spoons
- Sugar 2 spoons
- English Dry Mustard 2 spoons
- Turmeric ½ spoons
- Ground Cumin 1 tablespoon
- Coarse Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Combine lime juice, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, dry mustard, turmeric, cumin, sliced onion, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Pour the marinade over the chicken, seal the container with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least one hour.
Step 2
Heat canola oil over medium-high heat and sauté the skinless chicken thighs until golden brown for about eight minutes, turning them once during cooking.
Step 3
Transfer the chicken to a plate, then add the marinated onion slices and the sweet pepper, cut into rings or thin strips, to the skillet. Cook the vegetables until tender, about five minutes.
Step 4
Return the chicken to the skillet, pour in the broth, and when it comes to a boil, reduce the heat to medium, cover the skillet with a lid, and cook the chicken for about another fifteen minutes.
