Chicken in Sour Cream
Ingredients
- Poultry 15 oz
- Apple 10 oz
- Prunes 5 oz
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Herbs to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare the chicken. Cut it into 4 pieces, season with salt, sprinkle with pepper, and fry in a pan on both sides.
Step 2
Place in a heavy-bottomed pot or a casserole, add apples peeled and cored, cut into large wedges, and if available, pitted prunes.
Step 3
Pour in sour cream and simmer for 10–15 minutes over low heat until the apples are tender.
Step 4
Serve on plates or in casseroles, garnished with chopped herbs.
