Chicken in Milk with Garlic Recipe
Ingredients
- Poultry 1 piece
- Butter 0 oz
- Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz
- Cinnamon ½ pieces
- Lemon 2 pieces
- Garlic 7 cloves
- Milk 20 fl oz
- Sage 0 oz
- Mashed Potatoes to taste
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide

Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
Rub the chicken with half of the vegetable oil, and season it inside and out with salt and pepper.
Step 3
Zest the lemons and cut it into thick strips. Cut the lemons into wedges and place them inside the chicken.
Step 4
Remove the leaves from the sage stems. Place the stems inside the chicken, and add a few leaves as well.
Step 5
Cover the chicken and let it marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes (or in the refrigerator for 2 hours).
Step 6
Heat vegetable oil and half of the butter in a large skillet or baking dish. Sear the chicken on all sides until golden brown.
Step 7
As soon as the oil starts to darken, remove the chicken and pour out the oil.
Step 8
In the same container, melt the remaining butter and return the chicken to it. Arrange the garlic around the chicken.
Step 9
Add the remaining sage and cinnamon to the chicken, then sprinkle in the lemon zest.
Step 10
Pour the milk into the mold.
Step 11
Cover the dish with a piece of parchment paper moistened with water. Place it in a preheated oven at 375°F for 1 to 1.5 hours.

It's best to serve this chicken with mashed potatoes or brown rice.
