Description

Radishes braised with mushrooms, salad greens, and celery make an excellent side dish for this chicken. Cut the radishes into quarters, roughly chop the celery stalks, and slice the mushrooms. Sauté them in a mixture of butter, lemon juice, and maple syrup for five to seven minutes, then add the salad greens, season with pepper, and remove from heat.

Ingredients

  • Chicken Drumstick 6 pieces
  • Maple syrup 2 spoons
  • Olive Oil 5 fl oz
  • Thyme 6 stalks
  • Lemon 2 pieces
  • Black Cumin (Cumin) ½ spoons
  • Salt ½ spoons
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Marinate the chicken in a mixture of olive oil, lemon juice and zest, maple syrup, salt, thyme, cumin, and pepper. Place in the refrigerator for about half an hour.

Step 2

Take the chicken out of the refrigerator, preheat the oven to 355°F, place the drumsticks on a baking tray, and put them in the oven. Bake for about half an hour, until the meat is fully cooked and the skin has turned a nice caramel color.

Step 3

Remove the drumsticks from the oven, cut at the joint where the drumstick connects to the thigh, and serve with a vegetable side dish.
