Description

Chicken in honey-mustard marinade with oranges

Ingredients

  • Garlic 2 pieces
  • Chicken Thighs 0 lbs
  • Onion 2 pieces
  • Oranges 3 pieces
  • Dijon Mustard 2 spoons
  • Olive Oil 3 spoons
  • Sugar 3 spoons
  • Salt ½ spoons
  • Honey 5 oz
  • Toasted Cumin Seeds ½ spoons
  • Turmeric ½ spoons
  • Coriander essential oil ½ spoons
  • Ground Black Pepper ½ spoons

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Prepare the marinade. Mix together mustard, oil, orange juice (from 2 oranges), sugar, salt, honey, pepper, cumin, turmeric, and coriander.

Step 2

Marinate the thighs and refrigerate for an hour.

Step 3

Finely chop the garlic and sprinkle it over the chicken. Slice the onion and the remaining orange into wedges and place them on top of the chicken.

Step 4

Place in a preheated oven at 355°F for one hour. Every 10–15 minutes, baste the chicken with the marinade made from oranges and onions.

Step 5

Remove the dish from the oven. There will be a lot of juice from the marinade with the chicken and orange combined. I recommend drizzling it over the rice, which makes a perfect side dish.
