Chicken gravy for mashed potatoes
Ingredients
- Carrot 1 piece
- Chicken fillet 20 oz
- Onion 1 piece
- Passata Tomato Sauce 2 spoons
- Wheat Flour 2 spoons
- Spices to taste
- Bay leaf to taste
- Water 1½ glasses
- Salt to taste
- Dried Dill Stems to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Rinse the fillet thoroughly and gently pat it dry with a paper towel to ensure the meat is dry. Cut it into cubes approximately 1 cm in size.
Step 2
Slice the onion into thin rings and cut the carrot into matchsticks. You can also grate the carrot using a coarse grater.
Step 3
Heat a skillet with oil and sauté the meat for about 5 minutes, then arrange the vegetables on top. Once all the ingredients are nicely browned and have developed a golden crust, add water and flour, mixing thoroughly.
Step 4
Then add the spices and tomato paste. Simmer for about 20 minutes. The final touch is to sprinkle the finished dish with herbs and cover it with a lid to let the flavors meld.
