Description

Chicken fricassée with nutmeg

Ingredients

  • Butter 0 oz
  • Chicken fillet 20 oz
  • Wheat Flour 4 spoons
  • Nutmeg 1 tablespoon
  • Cream 22% 10 oz
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Rinse the chicken fillet well, pat it dry, and season with salt.

Step 2

Then cut into small sticks. Sprinkle with flour and lightly coat in flour.

Step 3

In a skillet, melt the butter and add the chicken. Sear on all sides until it is fully white.

Step 4

Now take the cream (the fat content can be anything). Pour it over the pieces of chicken, ensuring they are all coated in cream. Add nutmeg and a bit of ground black pepper. Stir, and bring to a boil (the sauce will start to thicken as it boils).

Step 5

Reduce the heat to low and simmer with the lid slightly ajar for 15–20 minutes. The sauce will thicken further, and the fillet will become very soft and tender.
