Description

Chicken fillet with cottage cheese filling

Ingredients

  • Chicken fillet 4 pieces
  • Cottage cheese 5 oz
  • Semi-soft cream cheese 5 oz
  • Parsley to taste
  • Dill to taste
  • Olive Oil 4 tablespoons
  • Ocean salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Garlic 2 cloves

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Mix the cottage cheese and cottage cheese cream, add salt, pepper, herbs to taste, and finely chopped or crushed garlic. Also, pour in two tablespoons of olive oil. Since salt does not dissolve easily in cottage cheese, be careful not to oversalt.

Step 2

Trim the fillet of any fat, if present, and cut it into two parts. The thin part should be slightly larger than the thick part, as we will be pounding the fillet. Pound the fillet with the flat side of a meat mallet to a thickness of about one centimeter. Season with salt and pepper.

Step 3

On the pounded thick part of the fillet, place the filling, leaving room to fold the edges. Place the second half of the fillet on top and carefully, but firmly, pinch it together to form a sort of pie. The halves of the fillet stick very well if they are dry.

Step 4

Now there are two options: you can bake all the 'pies' together in one greased baking tray; or make individual foil molds for each 'pie'. The thing is, when the filling heats up, it will definitely try to escape.

Step 5

Bake the fillet for 20 minutes at a temperature of 180-390°F.
