Description

Chicken drumsticks in ginger marinade

Ingredients

  • Garlic 4 cloves
  • Ocean salt ½ teaspoon
  • Ground Black Pepper ¼ teaspoon
  • Linden Honey 0 oz
  • Meyer Lemon Juice 0 fl oz
  • Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz
  • Chicken Drumstick 30 oz
  • Ginger 5 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Finely chop the garlic and crush it in a mortar with the addition of coarse salt to make a paste. Add the minced or grated fresh ginger and pepper.

Step 2

Add liquid honey and lemon juice. If you have opaque, crystallized honey, warm it slightly in the microwave. Mix the marinade ingredients well.

Step 3

Wash the drumsticks with cold water and pat them dry. Make three cuts on each drumstick with a sharp knife on both sides down to the bone. This will help the marinade penetrate the meat better and the chicken will cook faster.

Step 4

Coat the drumsticks with the prepared marinade, cover, and leave in a cool place for 1–2 hours. Stir once during the marinating process.

Step 5

Fry the drumsticks over medium heat on all sides until golden brown. Be careful, the honey marinade browns quickly! Then cover with a lid and cook for 10–15 minutes on low heat until done.
