Ingredients

  • Chicken fillet 15 oz
  • Salted anchovies in oil 8 pieces
  • Garlic 3 cloves
  • Crushed Tomatoes in Their Own Juice 15 oz
  • Olives stuffed with lemon 14 pieces
  • Capers 2 spoons
  • Sugar a pinch
  • Chili Flakes a pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Parsley to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Cut the chicken breasts into small pieces (about 1.5 cm), season lightly with salt and pepper. Chop the anchovies with a knife. Peel and mince the garlic.

Step 2

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of oil from the anchovy can in a skillet. Add the mixture to the warm oil and stir, heating until the fish pieces dissolve.

Step 3

Place the pieces of chicken in the skillet and cook them for about 3 minutes — the chicken should turn white.

Step 4

Add garlic, tomatoes with their juice, olives, capers, sugar, and chili flakes. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 2–3 minutes. Garnish with parsley and serve with rice, quinoa, or couscous.
