Chicken and Potato Stew
Ingredients
- Poultry 0 lbs
- Salad Potatoes 0 lbs
- Garlic 6 cloves
- Passata Tomato Sauce 5 oz
- Onion 2 heads
- Khmeli-suneli to taste
- Boiling water 5 fl oz
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Safflower Oil 2 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Rinse the chicken well, pat it dry with a paper towel, and cut it into small pieces.
Step 2
Slice the onion into half-rings.
Step 3
Cut the potatoes into large cubes.
Step 4
Chop 3 cloves of garlic with a knife.
Step 5
Heat a heavy-bottomed pot or cauldron, adding sunflower oil.
Step 6
Add the onion and garlic to the pot and sauté for 1 minute, stirring with a wooden spatula.
Step 7
Add the chicken to the pot and mix well.
Step 8
Sauté the meat until it releases its juices.
Step 9
As soon as the juices start to appear, add the potatoes. Mix everything and sauté for 3 minutes.

Then cover with a lid, reduce the heat, and continue to simmer the meat with the potatoes in its own juices for about 10–15 minutes.

Once the juices begin to evaporate, add the tomato sauce and water.

Season with salt, pepper, and add khmeli-suneli to taste.
Step 13
At this stage, squeeze in the remaining 3 cloves of garlic to infuse the dish with a pleasant garlic aroma. Continue to simmer until fully cooked.

It is recommended to serve the dish with any herbs.
