This is a very delicious casserole! The grains soak up the meat juices, resulting in buckwheat porridge of divine taste, especially when combined with khmeli-suneli, and the cheese crust, like foil, retains all the beneficial and nutritious substances inside the dish.
Ingredients
- Buckwheat Groats 1 cup
- Skin-On Chicken Breasts 2 pieces
- Cheese Spread to taste
- Sour Cream 5 oz
- Onion 1 piece
- Garlic 3 cloves
- Khmeli-suneli 1 teaspoon
- Salt to taste
- Vegetable Oil 1 tablespoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Place the thoroughly washed buckwheat in a greased baking dish. Top with finely chopped onion and three cloves of garlic.
Step 2
The next layer is chicken, cut into pieces.
Step 3
Sprinkle the meat with 1 teaspoon of khmeli-suneli seasoning.
Step 4
Spread sour cream over the chicken and pour in 1-1.5 cups of hot salted water.
Step 5
Grate hard cheese on a coarse grater and sprinkle it over the chicken.
Step 6
Put the baking dish in the oven for one hour at 355°F.
Step 7
When a golden crust forms on top, it's time to take the dish out of the oven.
