Celery root fried in bacon
Ingredients
- Celery salt 1 piece
- Bacon 5 oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice 1 tablespoon
- Garlic chips to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Ocean salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the celery root into thin, random pieces.
Step 2
Cut the bacon into small cubes.
Step 3
Place the bacon in a dry, hot skillet. Fry over high heat, stirring occasionally.
Step 4
Once the bacon is browned, remove from heat.
Step 5
Transfer to a plate.
Step 6
Drizzle the celery root with lemon juice and mix.
Step 7
Add to the heated rendered bacon fat. Set over high heat.
Step 8
Sprinkle with garlic powder.
Step 9
Once the bottom side is browned, stir.
Step 10
Add salt.
Step 11
Add pepper.
Step 12
Stir after 3–4 minutes.
Step 13
Stir again after 2 minutes and remove from heat.
Step 14
Transfer to the bacon bits and mix.
