Cauliflower with White Beans Baked in the Oven

Description

In such creamy sauces, I always add wheat bran — they are very healthy and give the dish an interesting texture. In this case, before sending the dish to the oven, let the sauce sit for about 10 minutes so that the bran absorbs the liquid.

  • White Beans 15 oz
  • Cauliflower 20 oz
  • Sour Cream 20 oz
  • Chicken Eggs 2 pieces
  • Salt to taste
  • Spices to taste
  • Garlic to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Soak the beans overnight.

Step 2

Cook the beans until tender. I usually boil white beans for no more than 40 minutes.

Step 3

Meanwhile, break the fresh cauliflower into florets. Then boil the cauliflower for 2-3 minutes in salted boiling water.

Step 4

Mix the sour cream, egg, salt, and spices (I usually use curry, coriander, and a pepper blend). Squeeze in the garlic. For half a kilogram of sour cream, I add 2-3 cloves — more for aroma than for a strong flavor.

Step 5

Place the beans and cauliflower in a baking dish, mix them, and pour the sour cream and egg sauce over everything. Mix again.

Step 6

Put it in the oven preheated to 355°F for 20-30 minutes. The dish can be covered with a lid or foil. If not covered, the top will brown and dry out a bit — it also tastes good, so I recommend you go with your preferences.
