Cauliflower with Bacon and Tomatoes
Ingredients
- Bacon 5 oz
- Cauliflower 25 oz
- Onion 1 piece
- Tomatoes 3 pieces
- Garlic 1 clove
- Cheese Spread 5 oz
- Butter to taste
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Herbs to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Wash the cauliflower, divide it into florets, place it in boiling salted water, bring to a boil, and cook for 6–8 minutes. Drain the cooked cauliflower in a colander.
Step 2
Slice the onion into half-rings. Cut the bacon into thin strips. Cut the tomatoes into wedges.
Step 3
In a skillet, melt the butter (or ghee), add the peeled and halved clove of garlic and the strips of bacon. Fry the bacon until golden brown.
Step 4
Transfer the fried bacon to a bowl and set aside. In the same skillet where the bacon was fried, sauté the onion until golden brown.
Step 5
Add the cooked cauliflower, bacon, tomatoes, salt, and pepper to the sautéed onion.
Step 6
Stir the vegetables, cover with a lid, and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 7–8 minutes. When serving, sprinkle with chopped parsley and grated cheese.
