
Cauliflower Steaks with Mustard Sauce

Description
Pack the leftover sauce in a jar—it can last for a day in the refrigerator. From one head of cauliflower, you will get two steaks, and the trimmings can be used for other dishes.
Ingredients
- Cauliflower 1 piece
- Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Gherkins 3 pieces
- Anchovies 0 oz
- Mustard Greens 2 spoons
- Sour Cream 5 oz
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 355°F.
Step 2
Cut the cabbage head lengthwise along the core into steaks about 2–3 cm thick.
Step 3
Place the steaks in a single layer on a preheated baking sheet greased with vegetable oil.
Step 4
Using a brush, coat the steaks with vegetable oil, then season with salt and pepper.
Step 5
Place in the middle of the oven for 30 minutes, turning once during cooking.
Step 6
Press the garlic through a garlic press into the blender bowl.
Step 7
Add the anchovies and gherkins, and blend until smooth.
Step 8
Add mustard and sour cream to the sauce, and mix well.
Step 9
Taste the sauce, season with salt to your liking, and stir again. Let the sauce sit for 10 minutes.
Step 10
Serve the steaks with the sauce.
