Ingredients
- Cauliflower 1 head
- Wheat Flour to taste
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Olive Oil to taste
- Salt a pinch
- Sugar a pinch
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Break the head of cauliflower into florets and wash thoroughly under running water.
Step 2
Then, immerse in boiling salted water for 3-5 minutes and add a pinch of sugar.
Step 3
Drain the boiled florets in a colander over a plate.
Step 4
Batter: mix flour, egg, and salt. There are many variations. You can add mayonnaise, sour cream, milk, kefir, tomato juice, herbs, garlic, cheese, or any spices.

Beat with a mixer or blender. The consistency of the batter should be like liquid sour cream.
Step 6
Pour olive oil into a deep frying pan and heat it until boiling.
Step 7
Skewer each piece of cauliflower with a fork, dip it first in the batter, then into the boiling oil. Fry on all sides until cooked through.
Step 8
This appetizer is great on its own or as a side dish for meat, poultry, or fish. You can also serve the cauliflower with spaghetti, as they do in Italy. Pile boiled spaghetti on a plate and top with pieces of the fried battered cauliflower.
