Description

A vibrant recipe where the main companions of the carp are honey and light beer. The beer in the baking dish will quickly turn into a fragrant sauce and lose its original nature, so serve the finished carp easily with a glass of light beer — don't overdo it.

Ingredients

  • Carp 1 piece
  • Onion 2 heads
  • Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz
  • Parsley 2 pieces
  • Honey 0 fl oz
  • Beer 15 fl oz
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Parsley to taste
  • Dill to taste
  • Salt to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Clean the carp from scales, gut it, remove the gills, rinse, and pat dry.

Step 2

Chop the onion, carrot, and parsley root into strips and sauté in 30 ml of heated oil. Season with salt to taste.

Step 3

Place the carp in a greased baking dish with the remaining oil, stuff it with some of the sautéed vegetables, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Drizzle with honey diluted in 15 ml of warm water.

Step 4

Carefully pour the beer (preferably light varieties) into the baking dish, ensuring it does not touch the top of the carp, and add the remaining sautéed vegetables.

Step 5

Preheat the oven to 355°F and braise the dish for 20–25 minutes.

Step 6

When serving, garnish with parsley and dill.
