Canned Fish and Rice Patties

Ingredients

  • Rice 10 oz
  • Canned cod liver 1 can
  • Onion 2½ pieces
  • Corn Flour for Polenta 3½ tablespoons
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Chicken Egg 2 pieces

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Boil the rice until cooked.

Step 2

Thoroughly mash the fish with a fork or blend it in a blender. Sauté the onion until golden brown.

Step 3

Add the canned fish, sautéed onion, and salt to the rice.

Step 4

Crack 2 eggs into the mixture for the patties and add ground black and fragrant pepper. Mix everything well.

Step 5

Form fish patties from the mixture and coat them in corn flour.

Step 6

Corn flour will give the patties a unique flavor and is generally better than breadcrumbs.

Step 7

Fry the patties on both sides.
