Ingredients

  • White Cabbage 30 oz
  • Turnips 4 pieces
  • Onion 2 pieces
  • Turnips 1 piece
  • Rice 1 tablespoon
  • Butter 4 tablespoons
  • Chicken Egg 1 piece
  • Sour Cream 1 jar
  • Wheat Flour 1 tablespoon
  • Dill to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Clean the white cabbage, cut out the core, place the head in boiling water and cook until partially done.

Step 2

Remove the cabbage from the water and, allowing it to drain, separate it into leaves, lightly beating the stems with a mallet.

Step 3

Sauté the carrots, onion, and turnip until cooked through.

Step 4

Boil the eggs hard.

Step 5

Cook the rice until done.

Step 6

Mix the sautéed vegetables, eggs, and rice.

Step 7

Place the filling on the cabbage leaves. Fold them into envelopes.

Step 8

Dredge the cabbage rolls in flour. Fry in a skillet.

Step 9

Pour over the sour cream mixed with onion.

Step 10

Before serving, sprinkle with herbs.
