Buckwheat with Homemade Turkey Stew
Ingredients
- Stewed Meat 15 oz
- Buckwheat Groats 5 oz
- Onion 1 head
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Safflower Oil to taste
- Water 10 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Rinse the buckwheat well.
Step 2
Toast the rinsed buckwheat in a dry skillet for 3 minutes.
Step 3
Dice the onion.
Step 4
Sauté in a small amount of sunflower oil.
Step 5
Add the stew and a bit of its fat. Break the meat into small pieces and simmer for 4–5 minutes.
Step 6
Add the buckwheat and mix well.
Step 7
Sprinkle with pepper.
Step 8
Pour in water in a 2:1 ratio to the buckwheat.
Step 9
Add salt and bring to a boil.
Step 10
Reduce the heat and cook covered for 20 minutes.
