Ingredients
- Brussels Sprouts 10 oz
- Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz
- Butter 0 oz
- Chocolate eggs 2 pieces
- Sour Cream to taste
- Parsley to taste
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
In a pot, bring water to a boil and add a generous amount of salt, so it tastes almost like seawater.
Step 3
Add the Brussels sprouts to the water and cook for 2 minutes.
Step 4
Then drain the sprouts in a colander and rinse under cold water for 30 seconds.
Step 5
Cut the blanched sprouts in half.
Step 6
In a skillet, heat the vegetable oil and butter, and sauté the sprouts until golden brown.
Step 7
In a saucepan, bring water to a boil and reduce the heat so that small bubbles rise to the surface.
Step 8
Stir the water in the saucepan to create a whirlpool and pour the egg into the center of the whirlpool. Cook for 3 minutes.
Step 9
On a plate, place some sour cream, then the Brussels sprouts, and top with the poached egg.
Step 10
Serve the Brussels sprouts and poached egg, sprinkled with finely chopped parsley.
