Ingredients
- Frozen Green Peas 15 oz
- Champignon Mushrooms 10 oz
- Brown Rice 5 oz
- Onion 1 head
- Fresh Basil 4 stems
- Vegetable Oil 2 tablespoons
- Cumin a pinch
- Ground Black Pepper a pinch
- Sea Salt a pinch
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Peel and finely chop the onion.
Step 2
Clean the mushrooms and slice them thinly.
Step 3
In a heavy-bottomed pot, heat the vegetable oil and sauté the onion until translucent.
Step 4
Add cumin, mushrooms, salt, and pepper.
Step 5
Stir in the rice, pour in 250 ml of hot water, and cover the pot with a lid. Reduce the heat and cook for 15–20 minutes.
Step 6
Add the frozen peas, stir, cover again, and simmer for another 2–3 minutes, adding the basil leaves at the end.
