  • Brown Rice 5 oz
  • Water 2 cups
  • Sugar to taste
  • Coconut cream ½ cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Fruits to taste
  • Nuts to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

In a deep skillet, pour the rice with water and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer on medium heat. Continue cooking until the excess liquid evaporates. Cooking time depends on the age of the rice.

Step 2

Once the water evaporates, check the rice for doneness; if the grains are falling apart and the consistency is porridge-like, the rice is ready. If not, add another cup of water and continue simmering on medium heat until done.

Step 3

Continue checking the rice for doneness and add another cup of water if necessary. In total, you should not need more than 4 cups of water and 45 minutes of cooking time.

Step 4

Once the rice starts to fall apart, turn off the heat and let it cool under a closed lid. After cooling, the rice should become soft and sticky.

Step 5

To serve, place the rice in a bowl, drizzle with coconut cream, and top with fruits and nuts if desired.
