Broccoli and Green Bean Stewed in Garlic Soy Sauce
Main Dishes • European
Description
It's best not to add salt, as soy sauce and curry are already salty on their own. This dish can be served as a side to meat or fish dishes, or simply with rice — it's delicious and, most importantly, healthy.
Ingredients
- Carrot 5 oz
- Orange Bell Peppers 10 oz
- Chinese green beans 10 oz
- Broccoli 10 oz
- Soy Sauce 5 fl oz
- Garlic 5 cloves
- Ground Black Pepper a pinch
- Red Long Chili Peppers a pinch
- Curry a pinch
- Vegetable Oil 3 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Heat the oil in a skillet and add the green beans. Set to medium heat, cover with a lid, and stew for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally (if the beans are frozen, increase the time to 10 minutes).
Step 2
Add the sliced carrots to the beans and stew the mixture for another 7 minutes.
Step 3
Then add the broccoli to the skillet and stew until the broccoli is tender.
Step 4
Once the broccoli is softer, add the thinly sliced bell pepper, pour in the soy sauce, and stew for a couple more minutes under the lid.
Step 5
Then add the garlic, grated finely, and the spices. Mix the vegetables well. Turn off the heat, cover with a lid, and let the vegetables steep and absorb the flavors of the spices for about 10-15 minutes.
