Braised Sausages in Red Wine with Mushrooms
Ingredients
- Pork Skewers 20 oz
- Safflower Oil 1 tablespoon
- Bacon 10 oz
- Onion 1 head
- Wheat Flour 2 tablespoons
- Rosé Dry Wine 10 fl oz
- Bay leaf 1 piece
- Chopped Sage Leaves ½ tablespoon
- Garlic 1 clove
- Fresh Mushrooms 10 oz
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 300°F.
Step 2
In a pot, heat the oil and brown the sausages for 5 minutes. Transfer to a plate.
Step 3
In the same pot, add the sliced bacon and finely chopped onion. Sauté for another 5 minutes.
Step 4
Then add the flour, mix well, and slowly pour in the wine while stirring. Add the thyme, bay leaf, minced garlic, and sliced mushrooms. Bring to a boil, cover, and place in the oven for 45 minutes.
