Description

Usually, I prepare this dish in a pot to enhance the juiciness and flavor. When I place it in the oven, I typically cover it with a lid. You can use any other high dish with a lid for braising in the oven.

Ingredients

  • Tomatoes 5 oz
  • Lamb 10 oz
  • Clarified Butter 0 oz
  • Pumpkin 20 oz
  • Onion 0 oz
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Herbs to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Sauté the onion and pumpkin until golden brown.

Step 2

Cut the lamb meat into small cubes, sauté in clarified butter, add hot water to cover the lamb, cover the pot, and simmer on low heat.

Step 3

After 10–15 minutes, add finely chopped, sautéed onion, salt, pepper, place the sautéed pumpkin slices and halved tomatoes on top of the meat.

Step 4

Preheat the oven to 355°F and braise the dish until cooked for about 30–40 minutes.

Step 5

Serve hot.
