Braised Lamb
Ingredients
- Olive Oil 2 tablespoons
- Lamb Neck Fillet 8 pieces
- Onion 1 head
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Ground Nutmeg 1½ teaspoons
- Garam Masala 2 teaspoons
- Beans in tomato sauce 20 oz
- Black Cumin (Cumin) 1 tablespoon
- Campbell's Beef Broth 15 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 300°F.
Step 2
Heat the oil in a skillet and sauté the meat for 5 minutes until golden brown. Transfer from the skillet. Add the chopped onion and garlic and cook over medium heat for 3 minutes until softened. Add the nutmeg husk and garam masala and cook for 30 seconds.
Step 3
Return the meat to the skillet and add the sauce and broth, bringing to a boil. Cover with a lid or foil.
Step 4
Place in the oven for 4 hours, turning twice. Serve sprinkled with cumin alongside mashed potatoes.
