Braised Cabbage with Celery and Carrots
Ingredients
- Green Cabbage ½ head
- Celery stalks 4 stalks
- Carrot 1 piece
- Onion 1 piece
- Cumin 1 teaspoon
- Salt to taste
- Vegetable Oil 2 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Finely chop a large onion and sauté it in a wok with vegetable oil until soft.
Step 2
Slice one large juicy carrot into rounds or half-moons and add it to the onion.
Step 3
Meanwhile, chop the celery stalks and add them to the wok.
Step 4
Shred half a small head of cabbage and add it to the wok with the other vegetables. Season with salt to taste. For variety, you can add cumin; I liked it.
Step 5
Cook until the cabbage is tender.
Step 6
This can serve as a light standalone dish or a side. Enjoy your meal!
