Description

Use a schnitzel for preparation. Instead of beef, you can use veal, and instead of parsley, dried cumin, it's a matter of taste. This is Maltese cuisine.

  • Beef 4 pieces
  • Parsley 0 oz
  • Ham 5 oz
  • Garlic 3 cloves
  • Egg white 2 pieces
  • Breadcrumbs 1 cup
  • Red Grape Juice 5 fl oz
  • Onion 2 heads
  • Bay leaf 2 pieces
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Prepare the filling from the ham.

Step 2

Boil the eggs hard.

Step 3

Finely chop the garlic and parsley.

Step 4

Fry the filling together with the chopped garlic, mix with breadcrumbs, parsley or cumin, and season with salt and pepper.

Step 5

Finely chop the eggs and mix with the filling.

Step 6

Lightly pound the schnitzels and spread the filling on each. Roll the meat into rolls, tie with cotton thread or secure with wooden toothpicks.

Step 7

In a deep skillet, heat oil and fry the rolls on all sides. Then remove the rolls from the skillet.

Step 8

In the same skillet, fry the onion rings, place the rolls on top, pour in the wine, add the bay leaves, and simmer for 30 minutes.
