Description
Boiled Rice with Salmon in Sweet and Sour Sauce
Ingredients
- Rice 10 oz
- Soy Sauce 5 fl oz
- Olive Oil 2 tablespoons
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Dried Chamomile a pinch
- Sugar 1 tablespoon
- Balsamic Vinegar 1 tablespoon
- Toasted Sesame to taste
- Mild Chili Spice to taste
- Smoked haddock fillet 10 oz
- Peach Juice 5 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Boil the rice. When the rice comes to a boil, add a tablespoon of olive oil.
Step 2
Cut the salmon or trout fillet into even cubes, place them in a pan, and sauté without oil and salt.
Step 3
Make the sauce. Mix the pineapple juice and soy sauce.
Step 4
When the fish is browned, add a little water and sugar, and caramelize slightly.
Step 5
Now pour the sauce over the fish and add salt, pepper, and balsamic vinegar. Cover with a lid and simmer for five minutes.
Step 6
After five minutes, remove the lid and evaporate the excess liquid. You can leave as much liquid as you like, adjusting evaporation with the lid; the main thing is to ensure the fish is fully infused with the sauce.
Step 7
Meanwhile, the rice is ready. Season it with dried thyme and add a tablespoon of olive oil and finely chopped red chili (the chili is optional, but I think this dish should have a bit of spiciness due to the rice).
Step 8
When the fish reaches the desired state, sprinkle it with sesame seeds and serve it on a plate with rice.
