Description

If the corn is very young, white, and small — boil for 3–5 minutes. If the ears are slightly yellow — boil for 1 hour. If they are completely yellow — boil for 2–2.5 hours. To keep the corn juicy: let it cool in the pot or in cold water. Only then should you sprinkle with salt or add anything else.

Ingredients

  • Sweet Corn Sticks 8 pieces
  • Water 0 qt
  • Salt to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Remove the husks and silk from the corn. Discard the top leaves and silk, leaving the remaining leaves.

Step 2

Rinse the corn ears and remaining leaves under cold water.

Step 3

Place all the corn ears in a pot. Cover with cold water so that the water nearly covers the corn.

Step 4

Top with the remaining leaves. Cover and cook with the lid on. Once the water boils, reduce the heat to medium.

Step 5

Salt the cooked corn ears to taste.
